Kachalu chaat is famous street food of Delhi. This tangy, spicy and yummy chaat recipe is simple to make and delicious to eat.

Kachalu - 1 kg
Tamarind puree - 250 gms
Roasted Carom seeds - 1 tbsp
Pomegranate seeds - 1 cup
Fresh coriander leaves - A few twigs
Lemon - 1 pcs
Green chili - 2-3 pcs
Salt, Red chili powder, Rock salt - As per taste

1. Boil kachalu in enough water. Add little salt while boiling. once boiled remove the peel and cut into small pcs.
2. In a mixer grinder jar, prepare a puree of 1 tsp tamarind puree, coriander leaves and green chilies.
3. Mix all the ingredients very well and give a nice toss to the chaat. Add little colored red chili powder in tamarind puree for the colour.
4. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh coriander leaves. Serve immediately.

Note: In case coloured red chili powder is not available, then add edible food colour in tamarind puree to add colour in chaat.
