Kachalu (Colocasia) - 250 gms
Lemon - 1.5 pcs
Mustard seeds/ Rai - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds/ Methidana - 1 tsp
Salt, Red chili powder, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp each
Mustard oil - 3/4 cup
Green chili - a few
Method:
1. Boil, peel and cut kachalu into small pcs.
2. Heat oil in non-stick pan and splutter mustard seeds along with fenugreek seeds. Switch off the flame and cool it down a bit.
3. Add all spices along with kachalu pcs, green chili. Now switch on the flame and cook for 2-3 min.
4. Switch of the flame and cool it down. Add lemon juice and mix well. Transfer the achar in glass jar and keep in sunlight for 1-2 days.
5. Store at room temperature.
