This is very popular Indian pudding made with Tapioca seeds or Sago seeds. Sabudana is generally consumed during fast days. Many recipes are made with sabudana like Sabudan tikkiSabudan KhichdiSabudana Vada, Sabudana Papad etc. Here is a simple step by step recipe of how to make Sabudana Kheer.

Ingredients:
Sabudana (Sago Seeds)  - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/2 liter
Powdered Sugar - 3 tbsps
Chopped nuts for garnishing
(almonds, Cashewnuts, pista)
Few Rose Petals

Method:
1. Wash sabudana for 2-3 times until the water is clear. Soak sabudana in water for 1/2 hour.
2. Heat a heavy bottom pan or pressure cooker. Add little water and add soaked sabudana seeds. Ensure to remove the soaked water from seeds. Pressure cook until 1 whistle.
3. Once sabudana turns soft, add milk in it. Simmer the heat and let the kheer. Cook till it gets thick and the sabudane are cooked. it will take approx 20- 25 min.
4. Add in sugar in between and continue cooking till kheer becomes thick. The consistency of kheer can vary.
5. Keep stirring the kheer in between.
6. Garnish with chopped nuts along with rose petals. 7. Serve hot or chilled
